Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003 - 3:14 p.m.
unnaturally warm weather is what we are having today. I went out to my first lecture in my new black polo neck, wearing my black coat and new-ish jeans looking pretty damn fine. Now I'm a sweaty mess - as the walk back from my lecture was hardly brief and it has just suddenly turned mega-hott. Not that I'm complaining. Well, okay so I'm complaining - but not because I don't like warm weather but because I like to keep my seasons seperate. It prevents wardrobe traumas. Myself, 'R' (screw it, I'm just calling him Aaron from now on) and Richard (ace lad on my floor) are going to the Guinness Society tonight. This involves drinking Guinness (naturally, though I'm ashamed to say I can only manage about half a pint!) and a pub quiz and then a pub crawl for real ale. There's also a huge game of forfeit Jenga which was fun last time I played (except that I refused to do a dance like Elvis and got kicked out of the game!) I finally ventured into the library this afternoon. Its all big and scary. They didn't even have the sodding book I need anyway. Its about poetry. Studying poetry sucks - I don't give a crap about the metre, just whether or not I like it. Though I suppose appreciating the technical side could make me like it all the more (maybe?)
